We had a great time out today. We being Don, Phil, here in known as my gents, and myself! Don is on his Harley, Phil on his Busa, and I on Tyke. The day was beautiful and we decided to go for a short ride. We decide to go a bit north-western way. So to Loch Raven we go!
First picture of the ride is of my gents going along a nice twisty road.
Candid Tyke shot
We stopped just short of that above shot, infact we had passed the part we parked at and were making a u turn when I looked up and saw the Loch Raven sign so had to park it, click Tyke into nutral, I hopped off and ran across the road to snap the picture before any cars came. As I was running back to Tyke a pair of Runners were looking at me like I was short a few bolts in my helmet. Hehe it's alright though I accept the fact that I am a few quarts low. So I hopped back up on Tyke and hurried to catch up to my gents if only to find them parked and already heading to relax.
My gent's sitting taking in the scene...
Some rather artsy shots if I don't say so myself
Don
Phil
The man made waterfall
An unlucky fish caught by a lucky fisherman
The lower part of the Resivor before the Dam
Phil's dad offered to take a picture, how can I say no! You all remember what I look like right?? Hehe!
Info on a stone by the man made waterfall
Side facing the water
Side facing the road
There was two other sides but I could not get pictures, one had a drop off in front of it, the other had a wall only a foot or so in front of it giving you just enough room to walk between them.
The noble steeds now well rested and ready to go again!
Next amazing site to see is the Dam itself. (dam dam dam dam dam! I swear ma I aint swearin!)
Look over there!
Made ya look!
The black blobs in the water are actually fish. Free fishies!
Hehe... Oh my. Info sign!
An artsy shot, I am actually quiet proud of this one
Another one taken on one of the roads through the Loch Raven area
Its me! Again! Whoo hooo twice in one ride! Can you tell??
Stopped at the Fishing Hole just to check things out. This is an area where people can deposite their boats into the Resivor to go fishing or what have you.
Current 2008 Info
Our last stop before heading home was Weber's Cider Mill aka Weber's Farm.
In the back is a pet farm so you can feed some goats, lambs, and a chicken. In the area they also had some clipped peathingys. I tell ya what is a male peathingy without his feathers!
A long time coming! Here is the Odo! The trip was only 60 or so miles but look!! 7,324!
Something new if you wanna check out the route
