Arrrggh!!!
A few weeks ago I go out, just for fun, to take a look at a local Motocycle shop. I am thinking that because it gets hotter here it might be a good idea to find some more breathable gloves. While there I find this awesome Modular Helmet (also known as a Flip-face) While they don't have the size I need in the color I want... I gotta match right?! My vain attempt huh? Well the lady pulls out the catalog for the helmet company. We find the one I want but I look over and see something better!! A modular helmet with flowers on it! Now I am not all to girly but I do like to let people know, without asking, that yes I am a female rider. This would be one good way and if I got it in grey, black and gold, then it would match my Joe Rocket leathers (they have Hawaiian print flowers on the pants.) Mind you I really wasn't looking for a new helmet my old one is still good but I think I would do better with the modular...
Awesome yes? Well they say "We can get that in a week!" I am thinking cool beans! I can get that in time to go riding next weekend (This weekend Memorial Day Weekend). So I place the order, along with a pair of gloves (also grey and black), and I pay expecting my items in a week as they said.
(This is going to be a brief version because I actually called them a few times in reguard to my helmet)
A week passes and I don't hear anything from them so I call. They tell me "Your order has been placed but our distributor likes to send us all of the items on the list at one time so if something is not in they wait before sending it all." I go O.o wtf! What kind of business sense is this!? "I am sorry ma'am but I am sure we will get the shipment soon" Okay I accept this... Let another week go by and it is Two days until the weekend and I call them back.. "My helmet in" No... same line! Though this time they assure me it is not my stuff that is on backorder "we are sorry ma'am but it is riding season and a lot of things are out of stock and on back order" Okay genious lets try this then.. Take the stuff on back order off the order, create another order of those items, THEN GET ME MY BLASTED HELMET! I know it is in stock at this point because I called the distributors of the Zox helmets and they have it in... So where is my helmet?
I go in yesterday to pick up my gloves because, Thanfully, those have come in. And talk to them about my helmet, still not happy about this but I cannot get it without a dealer and none of the other places are able to get this helmet either... So I go in and say.. "Hi I am the brat that keeps calling about her helmet. Now that I am here though give me another status update and where are my gloves!" So they bring me my gloves... Guess what?! They are the WRONG ONES! I about died... So I look at them funny and explain, by showing them the ones I wanted (but they didn't have my size) and they looked at them both and then called the manufactor. Good. Someone will feel my wrath!
Turns out the nitwits at the manufactoring company discontinued the old ones (the ones I wanted that looked totaly awsome) and replaced it with these freakish looking uggly things... o.o now normally I would say okay this is great! But by now I am a little peeved and I look at the sales person and go.. "What kind of idiots discontinues a product but continues to use the same product number for a different product! We now have a problem people!"
The owner is there and is fully aware of my plight and swoops in and says "What ever you need honey we will do! If you need a helmet for this weekend I will loan you one.." Perfect, brilliant, I have a helmet to use I just wanted my new one! One you can't get because SOMETHING on YOUR ORDER is not in yet... GRR Now I don't even have new gloves either! GRR
Now I have got a refund for the gloves. The helmet I decided to keep on order as I cannot seem to get it anywhere else. I know it exists! I know it can be gotten. So I am giving them until Friday to get my helmet. If they do not get it in I am getting my money back and I will find the helmet elsewhere, because in the mean time I will be looking.
I am not placing all of the blame on the store, which I have kept nameless, because they are nice people but really. Use common sense! Order your Special Orders seperate from your freakin store order! MY Stuff is already paid for! You have my money! GET MY STUFF!
