Taking a picture of a moving motorcycle from the side of the road
The first step is to change the camera setting from Auto to Tv and set the shutter speed to 1/1250.
Press the manual focus button and set to infinity.
Point the camera toward the sky or road (try both to see which looks better) and press the shutter release button half way down, hold the shutter button in that position and move the camera into postion for the picture.
As the rider approaches be sure to pan the camera following their path, this takes practice and normally you don't use the LCD display or look through the view finder, you do it by feel.
Note: panning is extremely important, if you don't pan, you will get an out of focus picture.
Take the picture.
Two things to watch out for... you need full sunlight for a good picture and don't use any zoom.
